A Culinary Journey – Cauliflower Crust
pizza.100Recently, I ate lunch at Malibu Farm and my brother tried a cauliflower pizza.

I enjoyed the cauliflower pizza so much that I decided to try to make my own cauliflower pizzaI decided to buy a cauliflower pizza crust which you can find at Trader Joe’s or at Whole Foods.
Making a crust from scratch is simple and great if you need to use up some cauliflower or even if are trying to get your children to eat vegetables. I decided to buy a crust because it is much more convenient as you can pop it into the oven whenever you like for a quick meal.food.250
I decided to try three different flavors. I tried a tomato sauce, cheese, and basil pizza. A parmesan, rosemary, red onion, and pistachio pizza with no sauce. I also tried a burrata, arugula, and balsamic vinegar pizza. I cooked the crust but did not heat up the arugula.
The classic cheese pizza was of course great but my favorite was the arugula and burrata pizza.
The flavor was well balanced and the balsamic added a little sweetness. I don’t think I can go back to eating  a regular pizza crust. I will miss the crunch but the cauliflower crust offers more flavor and is healthier. The cauliflower crust does have a crunch but is chewy at the same time. The texture is also very chewy and like grits.food.200
Cauliflower crust is worth a try and has many health benefits. Cauliflower can reduce cancer risk, provides many minerals and vitamins, improves digestion, helps eye health and many more. Give cauliflower crust a try and you will never go back to regular wheat crust again.
